  • Meat
  • 1200 grams Chicken thigh
  • Marinade for meat
  • 10 grams Olive oil
  • 10 grams Salt
  • 1 grams Pepper
  • 150 grams Greek yogurt 0% fat
  • 2 grams Oregano
  • 5 grams Sweet pepper
  • 10 grams Lemon juice
  • 10 grams Wine vinegar
  • 5 grams Garlic powder
  • 1 grams Cumin
  • Tzatziki
  • 500 grams Greek yogurt 0% fat
  • 300 grams Cucumber
  • 20 grams Olive oil
  • 5 grams Garlic powder
  • 10 grams Lemon juice
  • 2 grams Salt
  • 1 grams Pepper
  • Pita bread
  • 660 grams Pita bread

Directions

  1. Clean the chicken meat and cut it into pieces according to your preferred size, so it cooks evenly and absorbs the marinade well.
  2. In a bowl, prepare the marinade by mixing all the ingredients and stir well to balance the flavors.
  3. Add the meat to the marinade, carefully mix to coat it on all sides, then cover tightly and store in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, ideally overnight for a more intense flavor.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the tzatziki – clean the cucumber, peel it if necessary, and grate it coarsely.
  5. Remove excess water from the grated cucumber, ideally squeezing it through a sieve or a clean towel, so the dip is not too runny.
  6. Mix the cucumber with yogurt and the other ingredients, stir well, and store in the refrigerator, where the flavors will beautifully blend and enhance.
  7. Cook the marinated meat in an air fryer at 180 °C for about 25 minutes, until golden, juicy, and fully cooked.
  8. Just before serving, briefly grill the pita bread on a grill or in a dry pan, so it is slightly crispy and warm, and serve it together with the meat and tzatziki.
